Ravan

About Ravan

Ravan is a free, ad-free streaming site for original instrumental music designed to help you focus, sleep, read, relax, work out, meditate, code, or write. Free to listen, sign-in only for downloads.

Every track is composed instrumental music with no vocals, no choirs, and no field recordings. The site is funded entirely by donations and small sponsors who underwrite the cost of generating and hosting the music.

Free to use, too. Every album on Ravan is released under Creative Commons CC BY 4.0. You can use any track in videos, podcasts, films, ads, games, livestreams, or anywhere else — commercially or not — as long as you credit Ravan. No royalty splits, no permission email, no Content ID claims.

How the music is made

Each album is generated through a deterministic pipeline: a written spec defines the genre, mood, theme, and a per-track prompt, then cover art is generated by an image model and music by an audio model. Tracks are tagged, palette-extracted, and uploaded to a single content-addressed bucket. See the AI disclosure for the full account.

What we don't do

  • No ads, no sponsored placements inside tracks.
  • No data sold to third parties.
  • No vocal-bait drops, no dynamic compression for "loudness wars."
  • No paywalls on listening; sign-in only on downloads.

Other channels

Ravan is one project among several. A small portfolio of our other YouTube channels lives at /channels: mythology shorts, news clips, motivational anthems, and a few quieter projects.

Support

The site runs on donations. If you listen often and want to keep it alive, the donate page lists how. Sponsors can also underwrite specific albums and have their name listed on the donate page (subject to manual review).
